The Passive Stack is a free guide to apps that pay you for things you already do: shopping, scanning receipts, answering quick surveys, leaving an app running, or opening an account you'd use anyway.
Why this site exists
Most "make money with apps" lists are either outdated, padded with apps that barely pay, or written only to collect affiliate commissions. We wanted one page that shows, for each app, the current sign-up bonus, what typical users actually earn, how much effort it takes, and how it pays out, so you can decide in a minute whether it's worth installing.
How we choose and check apps
- US availability. Every app listed is open to US users.
- Real payouts. We list apps with a track record of paying users through PayPal, bank transfer or major gift cards.
- Weekly checks. Sign-up bonuses change constantly, so offers are re-checked every week against each app's own pages, and each listing shows the date it was last checked.
- Honest ranges. Earnings are shown as typical monthly ranges, not best-case screenshots. Where an app has real risks, like bandwidth sharing or investing, the card says so.
How this site is paid for
Some links on this site are referral or partner links, marked "Partner link" on each card. When you sign up through one, the app may pay us a bonus or commission. It doesn't cost you anything, and it often gets you a bigger welcome bonus than signing up directly. Partner links never decide which apps we list or how they're ranked: apps without any partner link are listed the same way.
Not financial advice
This site compares consumer apps and their published offers. It isn't financial, investment or tax advice. Bank and investing bonuses come with each company's own terms, and investing always involves risk. Always read the offer terms on the company's own site before you sign up.
